ABOUT
Elisa Hampe (b. 2001, Milan, Italy) is a visual artist working between Belgium, Italy and France. She completed the MA in Photography at ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne in 2026 and the BA in Photography at IED – Istituto Europeo di Design in 2023. Her work combines a background in traditional photography with digital tools such as photogrammetry, AI, and CGI, which she uses intuitively while embracing their distortions and errors as part of her visual language. Her practice focuses on the artificial production of comfort within domestic and online environments, addressing themes such as the longing for connection, safety, and the tension between inside and outside. The resulting works include artist’s books, prints, and photographic sculptures, and are characterized by a distinctive attention to the tactility of surfaces.
